The 1st Mediterranean Science Festival (MSF15) in Cyprus took place from 3-6 December 2015, with the theme "Science in our Everyday Life". Academic institutions, research institutes, educational organisations, innovative companies, and NGOs gathered under one roof and enthusiastically shared science, technology and innovation with 9300 visitors.
140 activities were designed and implemented and included a large interactive exhibition, fascinating live experiments, workshops for adults and children, lively talks and Café Scientifiques, Science&Art exhibitions, and music performances. MSF15 was organised by the non-profit organisation SciCo Cyprus and the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, with the co-organisation of the Youth Board of Cyprus, and under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
MSF15 took place within the “Research and Innovation Week” of the Research Promotion Foundation and included the “Day of the Researcher” on the 5th of December 2015. Our goal is to establish the MSF as a dynamic forum for the communication and celebration of science, technology, and innovation in the whole of the Mediterranean region.
